Top gravel bikes rental in Portugal

Had an absolutely great experience with Gravel Travel and Daniel. The gear was excellent, and Daniel was so attentive and helpful in crafting my trip and making sure everything went smoothly. Really a unique service in Portugal.

My husband and I (both seniors) rented bikes from Gravel Travel in November 2025 and cycled from Sesimbra to Lagos! Daniel was amazing to deal with. He provided a really great route for us that was mainly gravel trails and quiet backroads.
Before even dropping off the bikes, Daniel provided information on how to get from the Lisbon airport to Sesimbra including the bus schedule. When he dropped off the bikes he spent time making sure they fit us well and provided repair kits, water bottles, water, cell phone holders, panier racks… The bikes and the equipment were in perfect condition. We spent 14 days cycling and Daniel checked in with us every day, altered the route as needed, and provided descriptions of what each day would be like and the highlights not to miss.
We took the train back from Lagos with the bikes. Daniel provided train schedules and information on how to travel with the bikes and met us at the station to make sure everything went smoothly. It was like having our own personal travel agent!
We cannot imagine any better service and would highly recommend Gravel Travel and Daniel to anyone wanting a great cycling experience in Portugal. Thanks so much Daniel!

Avons (moi et ma conjointe) organisé notre voyage Porto - Lisbonne en Gravel avec Daniel en octobre dernier. Expérience tout à fait extraordinaire et hyper professionnelle. Daniel a aussi géré le déplacement de nos bagages, tout s'est passé parfaitement (5 déplacements). La dernière journée, à notre demande, Daniel nous a cueilli sur la route et nous avons complété notre tour avec une visite personnalisée en voiture. Très réactif à nos demandes, exemple: le traversier était brisé, Daniel nous a rapidement proposé un itinéraire en train de 4 ou 5 stations pour retrouver notre parcours. Daniel suivait la météo pour nous, et nous échangions un petit mot presque quotidiennement. Le processus de paiement a aussi été complètement transparent et facile du début à la fin. Je recommande très fortement, merci Daniel!

I rented a gravel bike for a week from Daniel. It was the most fantastic bike I have ever rode, it was perfect for any kind of roads. Made a stunning cycling trip from Setubal to Lagos, across the wild south west coast of Portugal. The bike, panniers and camping equipment I rented were in perfect condition, individually tailored and complete to the details (up to toothpaste if you like). The route description is shared through a personal website with links to Komoot tracks which is very convenient. The description and recommendations really allow to make the most out of the trip. Communication was very clear, friendly and correct, and I would certainly rely on Gravel travel again for my next gravel adventure in Portugal!

I rented a gravel bike for a day and the experience was great. Daniel was amazing to deal with, from first contact right up until he picked the bike up at the end of the ride. He was super helpful in planning the route, and he even put a small bottle of sunscreen in the saddle bag. The bike itself was clean, in excellent condition and fun to ride, especially on the gravel sections.
